Cam High shuts down Santa Ynez 35-0 in the first round of the CIF western section playoff.

Camarillo, CA– A week after beating rival Rio Mesa 43-7, Cam High received an invite to play in the CIF Division II playoffs.

The Scorpions dominated the game with their passing attack, throwing for 270 yards

Geron Rodgers lead Cam High, throwing for 4 touchdown with only one interception.

Frankie Tostado, sophomore, scored 2 touchdowns for the scorpions.

Matthew Varner intercepted a pass in the second quarter and took it for a touchdown.

 

With the big win came with a big loss for Cam High. Running Back, Raymond Thomas was injured in the game and is ruled out for the next game against St Francis.His injury severity is still unknown.

Nico Lima is also ruled out for Cam High’s next round game against Saint Francis High which will be played in Pasadena at 7:00.
