Scorps Spotlight 7: Aaron Talabucon
Senior Aaron Talabucon has managed to stand out, both on and off the football field.
The drum major of this year’s marching band, Talabucon started his music career in fourth grade. He discovered a passion for playing the trumpet while taking the band elective offered at La Mariposa Elementary School.
He still primarily plays the trumpet but is now also adept with the tuba, electric bass guitar, and guitar.
Talabucon has won numerous awards at jazz competitions throughout his high school career, and was honored as Las Colinas Middle School’s Outstanding Musician in eighth grade.
Now, Talabucon is still heavily invested in band. As drum major, he manages a hectic schedule with many serious commitments. “I put school as a priority, obviously, and then if there is some free time, I get down to it,” said Talabucon.
Outside of school and band, Talabucon is like another Cam High student. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, listening to music, and watching movies.
