Senior activities week is the week that nearly every Cam High student anticipates their senior year and according to teachers, a week that they would rather do without.

As in past years senior activities will be located behind and in the gym and on the football field. Wednesday April 9 through Friday April 11, seniors will be taking a panorama pictures, receiving prom and after prom information, and various senior awards will be distributed.

In past years senior activities have included movies, guest speakers, magicians, hypnotists, acrobatics, and sports just to name a few. So what will there be this year? There will be a taco truck for the senior barbecue and a special guest. As for everything else, ” it’s going to be a surprise.”, said Mr. Michaetorre Smith.

In the past senior activities have occurred during STAR testing and was often recognized by participants as a celebration of not having to be taking the test.

Now, that there is no STAR, the question for future seniors is whether or not senior activities will continue.

“Yes there will definitely be senior activities”, said Kevin Delgado senior. While freshman, sophomores, and juniors take the new SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment) seniors will continue their annual festivities during test week.
